Terms & Conditions

1. Interpretation

1.1 Definitions
Unless otherwise stated, the following definitions apply to this document:


- "we", "us", and "our" are references to Next Step (Bristol) Ltd;


- "you", "your" and "customer" are references to the person paying for services from Next Step (Bristol) Ltd having entered into this agreement;


- "services" or “courses” are HypnoBirthing courses, workshops and other services provided by us to you;


- "order" means a request made by the customer to us for services to be supplied subject to these conditions;


- "charges" are the charges payable by the customer for the provision of services details of which can be found on http://www.bristol-hypnobirthing.co.uk and may vary from time to time.

1.2 Headings
The headings in this document are for convenience only and shall not affect the interpretation of these conditions.


2. Ordering process

2.1 Order acceptance
We have not accepted a customer application and your place will not be confirmed until we receive full payment for said services. We will however, hold your place on any courses for 5 days, to allow you time to make the payment.

We will endeavour to contact you via e-mail and telephone before we give your place to another customer. Once your payment has been received, you will receive the 'welcome' e-mail including all details relating to the course you have purchased within two working days. Until this time, we reserve the right to refuse, cancel or reject any order made by the customer. In such cases, a full refund will be made using the same method of payment that was originally made.


3. Refunds & Cancellations

3.1 Refunds

You are entitled to a full refund if we are notified of cancellation at least 4 weeks before the course start date.

You are entitled to a 50% refund if we are notified of cancellation between 2-4 weeks before the course start date.

You are not entitled to any refund if we are notified of cancellation less than 2 weeks before the course start date or if you do not attend.

Refunds will be issued in the same method as originally used by the customer. Cases involving offline methods of payment will be refunded using a personal cheque.



3.2 Cancellation of Courses
If a course has less than 2 customers booked on to it, we reserve the right to cancel and refund all monies paid for said course. We will inform all customers with as much notice as possible and offer alternative courses where possible.


4. Billing

4.1 Payment schedules
You agree agree to supply appropriate payment for the services received from us in two weeks in advance of the time period during which such services are provided.

4.2 Bank charges
You are responsible for the provision of sufficient funds in their account and we will not be held responsible for any charges incurred as a result of overdrawing of the bank account or credit card or as a result of failed transactions.

4.3 Booking Reservation
We reserve the right to make the customer's reserved place on any course available to others, if 5 days have passed without due payment being received. Any added time for payment will be at our sole discretion.

4.4 Currencies
All payments are processed in GB Pound Sterling (£). We do not accept payments in any other currency other than GB Pound Sterling (£).


5. Payment Security

5.1 Processing your Payments
All online purchases are carried out by a third party payment processor with the highest security in place. We never have access to your sensitive payment details and we do not store it in any way, shape or form.
Our secure payments are currently handled by RomanCart www.romancart.com & PayPal UK, www.paypal.co.uk/uk.


6. Customer Responsibility

6.1 Contact Information
The customer is responsible for keeping their contact details up to date. If you wish to change your contact details, please email us at enquiries@bristol-hypnobirthing.co.uk with any amendments. We cannot be held responsible for communication mix-ups as a direct result of the customer’s failure to update their details.

7. Data Protection

7.1 How we use your data
We agree never to sell, make public, or distribute your details that we keep with your membership records. This information is for internal use and will never leave the company.


8. Supervision & Delivery of service

8.1 We reserve the right to reschedule the time, date or location of a course. If this happens we will:

8.1.1 Attempt to contact you by the telephone number(s) you have given us in the first instance.

8.1.2 If we are unable to contact you by phone we will notify you via the e-mail address you have given us.

8.2 It is the responsibility of the customer to regularly check our website and their e-mail in order to keep informed of any changes.

8.3 We aim to inform you of any changes at least 48 hours before the scheduled delivery time of the course or service. If we inform you later than this, you may be entitled to a refund of the monies paid for the part of the course or service that was rescheduled, at our discretion.

9. General Terms

9.1 We feel that all customers should be able to enjoy our courses in a safe and pleasant environment and to ensure this, customers must observe the following rules during the delivery of our courses:


9.1.1 Customers must agree to the rules set out below.


9.1.2 We reserve the right to terminate participation for breach of the rules, or conduct which, in our opinion, is damaging to the character or interests of us or offensive to other customers or staff.


9.1.3 Customers must advise staff of any personal health issues such as heart conditions, epilepsy and other conditions etc. prior to booking onto a course to help avoid accidents, injuries or misadventures to themselves and others. By booking onto a course you are certifying that you are fit to undertake the course.


9.1.4 Customers accept responsibility for their state of health and physical condition while the course is being delivered. If a customer feels dizzy, nauseous or in any other way unwell during this time, they should alert a member of our staff immediately.


9.1.5 Customers behaviour whilst the course is being delivered must not constitute a security or safety hazard to themselves or others.


9.1.6 Our liability for damage or loss to Customers' property is strictly limited to any damage or loss suffered as a direct result of the negligence of us or our staff.


10. Limitation of Liability & General Terms

10.1 We will be the sole arbiter as to what constitutes a violation of these terms and conditions.


11. Modification

11.1 We reserve the right to add, delete, or modify these Terms and Conditions, our courses, products, prices and website at any time. All customers are encouraged to check this document at least once a month to ensure they are aware of any changes.
